Management Team

The PRL Research team is made up of market research consultants and analysts whose collective experiences span more than 80 years. They are:


Roland Arabome is the Managing Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of PRL Research, which was founded in 1998. He has about 20 years experience in the market research industry. Mr Arabome’s wealth of experience is boosted by the various research, entrepreneurial and management courses that he has attended at various professional forums, within and outside Nigeria. Mr Arabome holds a Bachelors degree in Law (1987) and a B.Sc. degree in Mass Communication (2006), both from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State. Mr Arabome is highly sought after for his research skills by other reputable market research firms such as TNS RMS, Research International, Nielsen,  and other international brands. Roland Arabome is the pioneer Chairman of the Legal & Ethics Committee of the Nigerian Market Research Association (NiMRA) and is currently on its EXCO as Publicity Secretary. He is an active member of various market research associations such as the globally renowned ESOMAR, the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), the Social Research Association (SRA) and the Nigerian Market Research Association (NiMRA).

Mr. Agbonlahor is an acclaimed and seasoned management consultant, with experience in human resource, management and skills development training. As General Manager, he heads all arms of our operations, where his savvy knowledge garnered from the more than 9 years spent at the FATE Foundation is of immense value to our organisation.  Tony has also facilitated various training sessions for blue chips, multinationals at local and international forums, where he put in a cumulative of 10 years at senior management level. He is a member of NiMRA and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM).

Ema Edison is an accomplished researcher with more than thirty (30) years in consumer, social and media research circles at Unilever, Nestlé Foods and later at TNS RMS and Raitas Consulting Limited.

As our external consultant, Ema brings his wealth of experience into this team serving as Quality Control Manager. Ema has attended many skills-enhancing courses on quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and the UK. He is a member of the British Market Research Society (BMRS), ESOMAR and a full member of the Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NiMRA).

She is an expert with about 15 years’ experience in research.  She is a strategic planner who has been involved in several research projects spanning various sectors of the economy.  Prior to joining our team of researchers, she had worked as a Research Executive at RMS (now TNS RMS) for about 4 years. She is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM), a full member of NIMRA and an associate member of NCIA.

Mercy started her research career in 2001 with a bias for field research management.  Her background as a Business Administration graduate from the Yaba College of Technology has greatly prepared her for bigger responsibilities such as her oversight functions as head coordinator of data gathering processes, which include data back-checks, validation and general supervision of field staffs.  Mercy is also an accomplished first class Moderator and has anchored more than 1,500 focus group discussions (FGDs) in her 15-year research career. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and NiMRA

As our chief data analyst/manager, Lazarus Atagame has garnered vast skills in the use of QPS, SPSS and SNAP research tools in processing data, no matter how voluminous. This also extends to his dexterity in converting data from its original format into either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft PowerPoint formats for further manipulation and analysis.

PRL Research has access to a dragnet of highly trained and dependable enumerators, field managers and supervisors, numbering more than 5,000 across all the six (6) geopolitical zones of Nigeria, thereby guaranteeing effective coverage of Nigeria’s expansive landmass. We have the capacity to gather, process and analyse any volume of quantitative and qualitative data from any part of Nigeria.

The research company has proven track record of conducting credible and reliable surveys for various stakeholders in private and public sectors, both within Nigeria and in other African states such as Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa and Cameroun, respectively.
